Those were fish bait when I was growing up. We’d pull pounds of them out of the Gamer For Life Cute Bear Gamer T-Shirt besides I will buy this creek and use them to catch bass. And we call them crawdads here. My great-grandpa taught me to fish. Started off by having me steal a chicken neck or two from grandma (she would go after him with a spoon if he took em, but I’d just get a kiss). Then we’d find a likely creek, tie little strings to the chunks of chicken, and drop them down the mudbug holes dotting the bank. When you feel the tug you tease it out and into the bucket. I usually enjoyed getting the bait more than sitting there trying to catch the fish. Probably because I didn;t have a 6-pack of Abita chilling in the creek to keep me “interested” like grandpa did!

Which is why it’s absolutely ridiculous that Popeye’s got rid of thier Crawfish Tackelbox Bonanaza. Fuck you, Popeye’s I will die on this hill. That’s kinda like my old man told me one time, Lynn. The only thing better than a crawfish dinner, is five crawfish dinners Crayfish is what people that don’t eat them call them. The farther south you are in Louisiana it’s crawfish with mudbug and crawdad/daddy being the Gamer For Life Cute Bear Gamer T-Shirt besides I will buy this slang. Also, preparation differs depending on where you are in Louisiana, but in the southern part of the state they are eaten by the truck load this time of year. Source: I live in New Orleans I used to catch bunches of them by hand in Oregon. We’d have a crawdad feast after three days of catching them.
