My husband and I no longer use doordash but we would get a good laugh if our Ubereats driver did something similar! (We use Uber eats because I get Uber one for free bundled with my Spotify account) My old roommate use to do the Galaxy’s Best Boss Shirt Besides,I will do this same thing lol except his grew more and more chaotic. On the release day of No Way Home, he went around dressed as Spider-Man and would do the pose, or jump in the air. I loved watching him do those so much All those poor people salivating while silently staring through the peep hole, waiting for you to walk back to your car. Then suddenly they can dash out and snatch up the food that is just a little extra cold now. This would make me likely to tip more. It’s a funny pose and it takes away the impersonal delivery. Plus you look like a normal guy. If you were someone (like my husband) who is very nice but looks insane to strangers I would say not to do it.

I’m a dasher and cringe at the Galaxy’s Best Boss Shirt Besides,I will do this idea. I also get stuff delivered by doordash sometimes when I’m not able to leave my apartment. I don’t like having my picture taken, so that’s probably part of it, but I also don’t see why it’s necessary to take selfies all day long. When I deliver food, I take the picture that is required and hustle onward. I have the job to help supplement my husband’s income. I can get extra tips without wasting time setting up everything so I can take a selfie. I love it. But this thread is making me hella sad that people are so uncharitable about what other people do for a laugh or innocent fun. Use your hot bag, text the customers and let them know the situation at the restaurant and so forth give them updates you will receive extra tips that way you don’t have to beg like that. That is horrible in my opinion.
