Not me, my partner. They are salaried. But if a patient needs treating, they’re not clocking off just because their shift is over. You have salaried nurses? The nurses union would never let that happen around me. They thrive off of the Fuerza Regida shirt also I will do this overtime here Depends on the level/speciality. Partner is now on a regular schedule with a yearly salary. When they were junior, it would be 3-4 shifts a week with the option to cover shifts (which was very lucrative). All this is UK-specific btw. It has been a big reason why nurses balloted for strike action – if they downed tools on the dot, patients would die. But there isn’t the inclination nor willpower to track every time a nurse stays half an hour past their finish time because a patient went into cardiac arrest at an inconvenient time.

Fuerza Regida shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

There are salaried nurses in every state (not just the Fuerza Regida shirt also I will do this UK like OP). Most hospital admin nurses, long term care department heads, nursing consultants, etc. If your primary job is management and not patient care, you are just as likely to be salaried as any other position. Source: 30 years of nursing experience in multiple states in different regions of the country and several years as a consultant for a company with a footprint that covers most of the country and is headquartered in Chicago which is about as Union friendly as this country gets. It’s only an extra hour but time felt like it was standing still if you’re working those nights. I now have the fall DST as one of my vacation picks and the spring DST is one that I’ll work or sign up for over time.
