Also, mind those that might be carrying flares. Avoid being in front of the speakers or partaking in any mosh pits. VIP seats suck. Too far from the stage. Take ear plugs. Even with them in, you’ll here the concert fine and your ears will thank you by not ringing for three days. If you do plan on moshing; leave as much as you can in your car. If you wear glasses you can wear them and risk breaking them by a stray elbow. Hydrate before you go in, then slam a bunch of beers for the openers and coast the rest of the night. Between that and moshing the booze will be out of your system. Fun fact – I read an article where one of the stage hands said they go through a out 1250 (either litres or gallons? Either way it’s a lot) of gasoline for their pyrotechnics at each show. So be prepared for it to be hot. Edit – I should add since its your first concert. Fire is hot. Pyrotechnics at concerts like that, you will absolutely feel heat. Depending on how close you are you may feel it less. But I have felt the heat of pyrotechnics 100s of feet from the stage. Like even at that distance you’ll feel like a 5-10 degree rise. So if you’re closer you’ll be sweating hard. Wear something breathable and comfy for that. Have fun! That’s all! I waited tell 30 to see one and now I’m 36 and with the exception of the last couple of crazy years I went to 10 I believe before the lockdowns. Soooo much fun! Can not believe. I missed out on them in my 20s I never understood the cost behind them until I went. It’s quite the experience!

The ringing in your ears the next day really sucks, not to mention any possible permanent damage if you decide to do more concerts over time. If you’re on the floor and will be standing all night, might as well wear some good shoes. I put inserts into my boots for extra cushion. If people start moshing (which honestly I don’t see too often outside of metal concerts), whether you like it or not, just be extra aware of your surroundings and conscious of others. But mostly, just have fun. Concerts are great for getting energy out and letting loose. Rammstein is a really intense experience live!
