Ah, I get the impression that you have been bullied into not standing up for yourself in the past. Believe it or not, there are plenty of people out there who actually respect your autonomy! But if you’re unlucky enough to run into someone who thinks it’s ok to bully you either get the host(ess) involved, tell them you’ve got an allergy and you’re still trying to figure out exactly what you’re allergic to so you don’t want to risk getting sick, or just leave. Depends on what kind of party it is. If you don’t feel safe saying no then just leave. It’s not worth running the risk of having your drink spiked.

Just say “Nah, I’m good.” If they’re not assholes they’ll accept your answer and say alright. I don’t like drinking and I typically get a coke or sprite and when I’m feeling extra I ask for a garnish (cherries, mint leaves, a tiny umbrella) so I can hold a drink and be left alone lol it Actually, when they ask if you want a drink, say that sounds awesome.
