Thank you so much! I received a great deal from your post, and appreciate you taking the Either You Like Cats Or You’re Wrong T-Shirt and I love this time to share your insights This is really the only thing you wrote that I somewhat I disagree with. Meditation can be about many different things. There are many truths, many belief systems around it that are valid. For example, instances where it is combined with intention, prayer, visualization, breathwork, chakra system, connecting with source..etc, this goes back to the ancient roots and practices of meditation. Otherwise, I think this is a great post. I think meditation and religion are a great combination, but I don’t believe a religious belief should be a prerequisite for meditating. I think if a sad person meditates they will receive messages about sadness. And I think if a religious person meditates and chooses to hear “it“ through that perspective, that’s great too. Whatever tool someone uses that helps them is valid. I’m not religious at all, but very spiritual. Knowledge is gained through listening, and yes “transcending” thoughts is an interesting way to put it. However, the thoughts are important and should not be disregarded entirely imo.

For example, a sad person will hear their sadness, but at the Either You Like Cats Or You’re Wrong T-Shirt and I love this root of their sadness they will find empathy for whoever they are sad for. And at the root of that empathy they will find Love, their true intention. From there, they can transmute their sadness into Love, that which is its root, and all distortions of the mind come from Love. This is not a religious idea, it is what I’ve found through my own experience, not being told by someone what is true or false. So, to bypass or transcending all thought, visualization, you can actually be bypassing that which you need to face head on. As you mentioned nicely, do not surpress emotion – but, it can be transmuted! Your energy system (chakras) are often ignored, it is not a religious belief, but a system I’ve experienced first hand.
