No one else experiences your thoughts. Don‘t compare your path to stories of enlightenment. Enlightenment as an endpoint is human creation just as is heaven. You already contain enlightenment. Be thankful for the Dog Silhouette Cherish Labs Cherish Life Vintage T-Shirt in contrast I will get this opportunity to pursue peace.Probably the most potent suggestion. Humans are doing themselves a disservice by trying to numb the feelings they experience. Finding out why you want to meditate in the first place can be a shortcut to this advice. I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect humans to just do it – or anything – for no reason. The motivation is deep inside you whether you want to accept it or not. Getting to the point of figuring out what that motivation is often allows me to release some things I was suppressing. That’s also why I meditate in waves. Sometimes I just don’t need it. I remember reading a book by Thich Nhat Hanh where he said to treat red lights in traffic not as a point of frustration for delaying you, but as a reminder and an opportunity to practice living in the present moment.
