“Reasonable accommodation” is the Duck They’re Fighting For Clicks We’re Fighting For Wins 42 6 Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this operable phrase regarding ADA, with “reasonable” associated with a monetary value (usually $500 US). Short term disability might also be considered by the company. Oh my god what if he was permanently in the wheelchair? They don’t hire disabled people at all or what? This manager sounds like an idiot. I’d get an employment lawyer or someone who specializes in ADA cases. HR professional in the US here. This falls under ADA. They are discriminating and illegally preventing him from access to the legally obligatory reasonable accommodations. He must go to corporate and complain, I have read in other comments that he works for a company that is a small branch to an international organization. This means there’s a headquarters with a corporate HR department. These HQ HR professionals are almost certainly unaware of this case.

Have your husband contact corporate HR asap. Ask for the Duck They’re Fighting For Clicks We’re Fighting For Wins 42 6 Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this ADA forms to bring to his doctor and provide them. Even though there wouldn’t need to be an accommodation, that is THE POINT. The employer does not need to provide accommodations which means they need to bring him in and let him work, or they can terminate employment with him and he can sue them for discrimination and wrongful termination. I agree with others about bringing in a lawyer, but only do so after taking the steps above. ADA form, bring to the doctor, return the completed form to HR NOT the manager and if the manager still bars him from work, get a lawyer and plan to sue.
