“Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the Dragon in moon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this [Republican] party, and they’re sure trying to do so, it’s going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can’t and won’t compromise. I know, I’ve tried to deal with them.” “Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they’re sure trying to do so, it’s going to be a terrible damn problem. Dragon in moon shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Barry was actually downright liberal by the Dragon in moon shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this standards of today’s GOP. He supported abortion rights, guys in the military, and hated all the “moral majority” nonsense that has now become the party line. They can’t be bargained with. They can’t be reasoned with. They don’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop. Ever! Not until you are dead. Theoden’s despaired “what can men do against such reckless hate?” comes to mind far too often when these evil people take yet another step toward even more open declarations against democracy. Ya, that’s why I like it. So few people really know about Goldwater anymore so when you can reinforce he was just as much a shit bag GQPer from the past as they are today, but he recognized how bad it could get. Maybe a little sway back to reality for the ignorant.
