I remember seeing an Amazon bookstore at the Don’t panic I’m a professional Claims Examiner T-shirt moreover I love this mall and thought to myself ‘well it seems we’ve come full circle.. this is stupid’ Was the purpose to set up in strategic retail book competitor locations and further eat into revenue of those competitor retail outlets? So the business model that they defeated ended up not working out when they implemented it. I feel I could saved them so money on this one. I genuinely didn’t realise they still had physical shops. I obviously know Amazon originated as a book shop but by the time Amazon Web store reached the UK in 1998 I assumed all their in-person shops were closed and I’ve never even heard of a 4-Star. Lmao I knew this was going to happen yesterday when someone said one of their retail stores sent them a list of demands including $25/hr There was a 4-star location about to open at the Providence Place Mall in Providence, RI. I’m not an Amazon fan by any means but I was looking forward to this opening since I feel like in recent years diversity of mall tenants has really fallen, even in successful malls like this. Anyone else feel like even their successful malls near them are just clothing and phone repair shops? Ha, I just walked through my local Mall yesterday and one of the vacant locations boarded up saying Amazon 4 Star coming soon. Wonder what’ll happen now. My company processes waste such as corrugated paper. Went to an Amazon facility in DC in 2018, to map out certain data points. Amazon knew exactly how many steps it took for an employee to discard boxes in a dumpster 126 steps away

I went to one the Don’t panic I’m a professional Claims Examiner T-shirt moreover I love this other day. I was intrigued by Amazon having a physical store. Turns out it’s just a glorified sharper image. I actually always really enjoyed the Amazon book store I used to live near. Tactile interaction is nice for me. This is kind of a shame, but hopefully it will make room for some other more interesting businesses that aren’t owned by Amazon. Can confirm their stores suck. Went to one a year ago and it was the dumbest assortment of uninteresting, stupid shit. There’s an Amazon 4 star store that’s been open about a year at a mall nearby and now they’re just going to close it? What a waste. They replaced one of my favorite bars in Chicago 5 or 6 years ago and only lasted this long. Not that I wanted them there but this makes it worse somehow Those places were so fucking weird. Visited two of them, just because they were there. I went to the kids book section. It was filled with every weird book you saw on TV. little joe, kamel harris, yolanda has 4 daddies, ECT. Focus on expanding non perishable food delivery. Then add value by with fresh produce that stays fresh due to the massive volume. Forced businesses to close, take their real estate, build your own stores and you close them. Wtf is this mess???
