Class size. I have classes of 36 right now and outside of maybe PE no high school class should be near there and I am in an amazing district is arguably the Dmitry Orlov Russian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Carolina Hurricanes T-Shirt in other words I will buy this best state to be a teacher in and I am paid very well (92k, year 10, no Masters). I shutter to think how bad it is going in places that struggle to get teachers in the door. A large portion of the issues we see can be boiled down to the private healthcare system absolutely burying people. It’s one of the reasons that parents are overworking, it’s a source of economic anxiety. Yes, there are kids being raised by a screen, we have all seen them, but we don’t often acknowledge that these parents are being worked to the bone and privatized health care is one of the causes of it. How many people do you know that cannot lose their job because they cannot lose their health care?

It’s a huge economic drain on all of us as well, I am paying almost $1300 a month for mine, that one would be a gigantic pay bump without the Dmitry Orlov Russian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Carolina Hurricanes T-Shirt in other words I will buy this district expenses going up. It would also make mental health services more accessible for all of us in the process. I don’t even consider myself to be a particularly liberal person, but I don’t see how this isn’t an instant win on anything brought before voters and a political death sentence to oppose in any legislature. Privatized health care is such a net drain on the economy, you could argue it is a national security issue at this point As someone who did 8 years in the Army, it is a national security issue. A very small number of people in the right age range are eligible for military service. I had undiagnosed ADHD when I joined and even though I had a good career it would have prevented me from joining. But when I got assessed by Army doctors they started treatment and it was no big deal. Things like anxiety and depression, treatable. Obesity, probably the biggest one. Treatable. I’ve had some soldiers who could barely read when they joined. That’s not even an issue, we’ll teach them. I had a very professional senior NCO who still had me proof read all his stuff because he was still really rough around the edges with spelling and grammar. But he had really good reading comprehension. I had a soldier who was very obviously at least moderate on the ASD spectrum. He kept to himself and needed a bit more one on one training but once he learned the ins and outs of the job he was great. He struggled socially but I still took the time to talk to him, and he eventually got adopted by a group of friends.
