Here is a thought exercise: if you offered parents a “free day care but your child will not receive credit towards a diploma” option how many of them would choose that? I’m guessing a higher number than most people would imagine. The are very few micro interventions that will tackle the Derrick Henry American football running back for the Baltimore Ravens Caricature T-Shirt also I will do this macro issue at hand. Parents are the issue but not in the way most people think. We are seeing the first time in American history where the lowest income bracket are having significantly more children. Larger gaps so teachers who are college educated are teaching vastly more at schools that differed from their own. Is it really the case that the lowest income bracket is having more children compared to previous periods? Is there data to show that? Yes the Derrick Henry American football running back for the Baltimore Ravens Caricature T-Shirt also I will do this middle income brackets realize they can’t afford kids and have the lifestyle that they want. The lowest just don’t care, can’t get much worse. We could try capitalism but maybe not in the absolute worst form as we have now where corporate power blocks and lobbyists control society in a non -democratic manner. We could try paying people a fair wage rather than extracting as much surplus value as possible from every system in society until nothing functions properly. Your kid has D and F? Take away all the shit they love (phone, gaming systems, their expensive sneakers if they have them) until they improve those grades Yep that’s it . Right there. I’m so sick of having kids literally give the finger and not doing anything – then go home to a 500 k house with every gadget ever, their special expensive lacrosse team , and all outfits over 100 bucks. Then having said parents say – well what more can the school do ?
