It’s kind of funny when people who want to drive 15-25 above choose to succumb to road rage rather than just simply driving around nonchalantly. I’ve had people rage at me for being in the left lane, but I swear to god, I am passing, and I will get over, I just don’t go more than 7 to 10 miles over the speed limit, because I can’t afford a ticket, but to everyone else it looks like I’m a left lane camper. If someone’s riding my ass, go up to 15 miles over, just to get out of their way, but often I’ll have them try and pass me on the right before I can even get over out of their way. Looks like Maryland drivers have escaped and exist in all 50 states. As a Virginian, I apologize on behalf of my neighbor. Im embarrassed ti admit this. But I didn’t know about the passing lane until my mid twenties. I was dating someone a little older than me and they taught me on one of our road trips. I now use the lane as k am supposed to and can see when people are not using the lane correctly. I always hope it’s someone who doesn’t know Instead of someone being an ass

Whenever I bring up how to drive on a four lane highway everyone looks at me like they’re crazy. My parents are european so they taught me but I think most people don’t understand the Damn right I am a lightning eastern champions fan now and forever signatures shirt besides I will buy this concept of a passing lane. The only exception I sometimes see is on the I5 in California driving from LA to SF. Sometimes people treat it how they should but sometimes they dont. A) why are you too afraid to ask and b) it’s cause they aren’t paying attention or are dicks, no real mystery about it. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves. Same happens in Europe. People set camp in the middle lane until its their exit. Hateful. It’s enforced consistently in Nebraska. Which is nice because someone hogging the passing lane is so rare that it’s almost a novelty here. No one will answer this question because nobody does it intentionally, It’s normally just lapse of judgment and attention. the only time they ever speed up is to match the speed of a truck in the right lane and block everyone behind them. Because the only section of road with a passing lane I go through is 100 feet long and I need to be in it anyway to take a left at the stoplight.
