It drains a lot of energy if you heat it. Although you can buy a bubble wrap type topping which does help heat and hold heat in. You have to have the Dameon Pierce American football running bac Texans T-Shirt and by the same token and pump on for at least an hour a day to keep the water good. So you have to remember to turn it on and off. Then you have to test and treat the water daily to make sure all the levels are correct. Even with the “easy” chemicals it’s a pain. I agree with all this. I’m dreading the day the kids ask to get the pool out. I did get a decent tan in lockdown because of how long I was out there with the pool vacuum keeping the damn thing clean. I won’t get it out if I can help it. One thing to consider is the maintenance. Keeping the water quality decent won’t be super easy. It’s quite a commitment. My experience is with a hot tub which with the higher water temperature is much more a breeding ground for bacteria but you still need to factor in the maintenance and chemicals and testing etc. If you want more chores to do then, go ahead, get a pool Pal, I’m in the far north of Scotland and one of my neighbours finds it warm enough for a pool every year. Listen to your wife. I got one three years ago and we put it up every year. I did invest in some heating mats that while they don’t make the water warm, they do heat it enough to be comfortable. Also in the West Midlands, my parents bought one 5+ years ago during a particularly hot May. The novelty wore off quick, because the water was always cold and keeping on top of the algae was a hassle. They haven’t put it up since.

I do some varied and random jobs for a couple with an actual swimming pool in the Dameon Pierce American football running bac Texans T-Shirt and by the same token and grond with insulation, is abour 3 metres by 5 metres long and 5, feet deep at one end and 3 and a half feet at the other end, (it really doesn’t matter that I’m mixing proper measurements with foreign measurements) It’s heated with an air sourced heat pump and it costs, £640 a month in the summer to pump the water around and heat it. Assume £200 in the first few days to heat it and once warm it’s simply a matter of maintaining the temperature in a non insulated rubber bag of water with no lid. I have no opinion on the pool but the weather up north was not exactly a million miles from down south last year it got to 40 in Cheshire Unless your garden is HUGE and you have the money for pimp, chemicals et al. I don’t see the point? Are you going to heat it? Because of not, you’ll be able to use it 2-4 weeks a year.
