How would you create valid justification? disabled people is a clear one, but what about me? my garden is so small I don’t even have room for a shed to keep a mower in. The actual fake grass area is 9m², and my garden gets no sunlight due to being surrounded by trees and houses. would that be valid justification, or could people say “well you should have to pay for a gardener to come in every 2 weeks”. We do however have various beds, large planters and pollinator friendly plants. If artificial grass was banned we would likely have just paved over. If you’re concerned about microplastics, there are various single use products we should be focusing on first. When I lived in a terraced street I had a small back yard that was entirely concrete. Putting down artificial grass completely transformed the area to somewhere that was nice enough for the kids to play outside.
