Finding a local third place – a cheap cafe or a library – or getting a laptop battery and dongle and doing your work in the Colorado Buffaloes Buffalo Mascot It’s Personal We Here shirt and by the same token and park. Is there a rail line near you with an arbitrary, cheap season ticket? I could work happily bouncing between the same two stops. Looking at your work schedule & planning your day differently – what are your high, med, low difficulty/stress/focus tasks, what does the works disrupt the MOST, and can you put those at quiet times. Even if it means you structure your work-day differently, so that you’re having a bath and vacing the house during building work hours and catching up with focus work at 8pm. Looking at your general self-care stuff, food and exercise and schedule and things, to see if you can better tolerate stress. I know, but those things do work (albeit they’re not total magic) That is completely unreasonable no one will agree to that, builders cost a bomb and it’s not like they can do another job now.

In reality it’s crap I agree but suck it up. They have planning permission and there’s not much else you can or should do. We recently moved from a house where it felt pretty constant – if it wasn’t our neighbours angle grinding something or chainsawing something in the Colorado Buffaloes Buffalo Mascot It’s Personal We Here shirt and by the same token and garden the other side were doing some late night DIY or scaffolders were turning up at 5am on a Sunday parking under our bedroom throwing metal poles and yelling. At one point they replaced the gas main in the road so we had 13 weeks of pneumatic drilling right outside our door over the first covid lockdown, then the water main needed lining, then the drain was dug up. I am very noise sensitive but even I got used to it after a while. I’ve also got 3 types of noise cancelling headphones and earphones which have been a godsend!
