We had gravel but then when we had a child they couldn’t exactly have a slide etc on gravel so we went for fake grass. It was pricy and it does look real. It doesn’t get too hot either in summer. Doesn’t get waterlogged. Doesn’t smell. No issues at all. My priority especially when it was covid and we couldn’t go anywhere, was having a garden my kid could enjoy. I made it a play ground for him. Flags and gravel couldn’t do that. I’m glad to hear it’s had a positive impact on your life too. My little boy loves running around on it, and it’s so much safer for him. Our dog can do his business and it’s easier to pick up. He also loves rolling around on the Coheed And Cambria Knitting Factory Concert House Boise ID September 26 2023 Poster shirt What’s more,I will buy this turf in the sunshine. It’s really upgraded our garden and our lives. Our front and side gardens are still natural grass – in fact the side plot is now a re-wilding project and vegetable plot.

Yes. Horrible stuff. Looks awful, burns dogs paws and takes years and years to break down. Mind boggling that people use it still. Takes me 35 minutes a week to mow our lawns and they are a decent size. Or maybe not ban it entirely but slap a massive environmental duty tax on it and make it prohibitively expensive or something idk. I have a small front garden lawn around 4m x 4m plus surrounding borders with shrubs. Front gardens are really only for appearance, nobody uses them. We astroturfed the Coheed And Cambria Knitting Factory Concert House Boise ID September 26 2023 Poster shirt What’s more,I will buy this lawn area because after spending so much time at work and commuting we wanted to free up the time taken with mowing and weeding and de-mossing the lawn. My neighbour spends hours on her front lawn and it is like a bowling green and she waters it every night, even when it rains. So I am not sure how eco-friendly that is and cannot see much signs of “biodiversity”. I would have thought plastic grass was better for letting rain flow through than concrete. Many houses in the area have just concreted over the front garden as parking for multiple cars or their work wagons. So are you going to tell people they cannot concrete over their property? I actually agree that flooding is an issue and biodiversity should be boosted. But I think the pious stand of some on here calling people they disagree with “chavs” and declaiming that this, that, and the other should be banned because it offends them is not likely to get much traction with the wider public. My former neighbours decided to concrete over their entire garden then put astroturf on it, then lied to the council that a) they did it due to knotweed (there definitely wasn’t any) and b) that they put drainage and “biodiversity areas” in (they definitely did not).
