In your case I would do the Cincinnati Bengals Football 2023 It’s In My DNA shirt so you should to go to store and get this same. Mention that the salary offered was well under expectation and your current market value for your expertise and experience. You would be very inclined to entertain an offer that would increase your current salary but wouldn’t accept an offer for any less than X. (In your case I’d you’d only leave for 106k then say that) and say you are willing to work with the company to find a pay structure that would have you attain that salary. If that means matching your current salary and adding a year end bonus? Or including an extra week or two of paid vacation off the hop? Or starting bonus? Or retention bonus? Or retirement contributions? Guaranteed promotion after a set time with an increase in pay? A guaruntee increase after 1 year? There are many options for total compensation.

Best of luck to you and don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t work out. Know your worth and accept nothing less unless you know there is a defined plan ON PAPER in place to have you reach that goal of yours. I think you can if you’re willing to walk away. “I’m sorry, but I make more than that at my current position, and I was considering leaving for a competitive salary. I’d be willing to move forward with [your number.]” Just tell them you can’t leave a position for less than you currently make. Remind them what you are giving up and if they can’t at least match it, then move on. The entitlement and toxicity of HR to take two days of your time to just waste it with an offer below what you currently make. We need higher standards as candidates when it comes to dealing with HR. Do not accept a second interview if they cant guarantee the Cincinnati Bengals Football 2023 It’s In My DNA shirt so you should to go to store and get this salary you deserve for your time/work.
