When I told my parents, all I wanted was for them to make the Camping All I Need Today Is A Little Bit Of Coffee And Whole Lot Of Camping T-Shirt In addition,I will do this barest effort to understand what I was going through or not freak out about my clothing choices. Laws like these do not only prevent necessary care for trans youth who are certain they want hormone blockers- it also causes a massive, cascading chilling effect that says “Don’t tell your parents, don’t tell your friends, don’t tell your teachers or doctors either; in fact, just bottle that shit up so we don’t have to know that trans people exist at all.” They want to pretend that being transgender is an active decision made by weird adults, and laws like this help them spread that lie. But I sure as shit know I was trans before my 18th birthday, and that my quality of life since then would have been leagues better if the answer to me knowing this was support instead of sabotage. Again: they don’t want to “protect kids.” They want trans people gone, and we are a convenient vulnerable minority to set right-wing hate on. Edit edit: Every time a cowardly mopbucket sends me a Reddit Cares, I add Always by Erasure to my music queue ??? People used to say similar when I knew I was gay at 13. “Oh you can’t make those decisions yet.” “You are confused.” “It’s a phase” Seventeen years later and I’m still gay. Teens know.

“So buddy, when did you choose to be straight?” A lot of very confused looks but mostly a dawn of recognition. A small minority just get angry. I managed to actually get my dad to take a second thought when I asked him, “If it’s a choice, who in their right mind would “choose” to be hated/bullied by society?” Also infuriating that those same people don’t seem to realize they’re essentially making the Camping All I Need Today Is A Little Bit Of Coffee And Whole Lot Of Camping T-Shirt In addition,I will do this decision that kids are straight and cis and forcing it on them when they say otherwise Exactly! It’s not even giving them a choice in the matter of their lives. People talk about regret as if the only regret you could have is detransitioning. Meanwhile the regret of trans people/kids doesn’t even get considered.
