Not the cheap way probably but the novelty never wears off imo! I have one to make mixers mostly for alcohol, and I love it. I will say, though, that the Pepsi branded ones don’t taste like Pepsi. I live in france atm and if you return the empty canisters to stores, you get a coupon, so the new canister is around €13. I’m not sure if any stores in the UK do this, but take a look into it. (You can also buy third-party canisters for cheaper, but I don’t know how good they are)

Yes when I exchange at Sainsbury’s you get £10 off I think so it costs around £13 iirc. Not sure if people are just unaware of that but it makes it quite cost effective. We’ve had ours about 6 months with no issues we also it is a shame they don’t have a nice orange but you could always carbonate squash. I like being able to make fizzy drinks with squash etc. I get my own CO2 tank from a local company, transfer unit from aliexpress and fill up one or two sodastream old-style tanks, other companies sell refillable bottles. 2 years, but it was less the novelty and more the fact I was drinking 2-4 litres of pepsi max cherry a day so my health. Lol I like adding sparkling water to elderflower cordial and my children often use it to make fizzy squash. I occasionally buy the Pepsi Max or 7up syrup, but not often as it’s expensive. Sodastream do a nice ginger ale syrup though. I bought one ages ago because it was on sale and I enjoy sparkling water and using orange squash with it. Unfortunately, I thought the water tasted horrible no matter how I tried it or how much gas I used etc. so I returned it in the end. Was pretty disappointed though! I felt betrayed by my own tap water! It fun to play with different flavours for a while but stupidly expensive for what it is. And ends up gathering dust.
