Third party apps don’t have these useless avatars, awards or the Bruce Springsteer Fanart BS Play guitar American Singer T-Shirt moreover I love this chat, but have a lot more customization on how the app looks and displays stuff. It can be way more simple than the slow and bloated official app. Same here, I think if you’re just scrolling and reading then the official app is perfectly fine. As I see it you get more options as a poster / more serious user with the third party stuff. I’ve tried a few and always come back to the original as it’s pretty simple to use for my old fart brain Yup, reddit.com is still going to work in Chrome on Android, right? I somehow survive without having infinite scroll and just clicking the “next” button at the bottom of the page (if anything it helps me not get sucked into doom scrolling as I can say “ok, this is the last page.”) I’ve never used a reddit app, and I don’t find it that annoying to use the browser version. it works for the way I use reddit and it means I can use browser addons if I want/need to

Multireddits don’t show me their subreddits anymore and the Bruce Springsteer Fanart BS Play guitar American Singer T-Shirt moreover I love this ui is different but at least posts load faster and I can actually see comments now. (seriously, when are companies gonna re-realize web beats installed native apps, like they did decades ago for desktop?) I’ve only ever used the regular Reddit app, and have no problem with it. I honestly didn’t even know there were others until this whole issue became a thing. I’ll likely have a lot more free time. Can’t see myself using the official app, mobile browser, and I’m not at my desktop enough to warrant even checking. It’ll be the end of an era. Serious question. What’s better about third party apps vs the Reddit app? I don’t have any issues with the Reddit app. I have used one third part app before. It was a few years ago and I don’t remember which one but I wasn’t really impressed. What can they do that the official app cannot? I’ll have to figure out another way to kill time while I’m on the toilet. I use RIF because I hate the reddit app, if I can’t use RIF anymore then… bye reddit. Yeah I was asking about this on a different sub. Once Apollo is gone, I am gone from Reddit. I am sure a lot of people are going to switch out too.
