A lot of people are racist & don’t even know it because they were “raised that way” and it was normalized so when they go out into the Bruce Bochy Al Manager Of The Year Finalist Shirt and I will buy this real world and encounter millennials like me — they’re shocked when we call them out on their racist bullshit. Educate yourself. And anyone who counters something with “I have black friends..” or “I support BLM” is racists af and sounds soo ignorant. For me it’s normal one side that say it because of one small thing they read on redit, they don’t why or even under stand why i said they just jump to the wroung conclusion, them saying it doesn’t make it true and they think everyone is a racist. I’m a racist because i only have one black guy working in my shop, i’m also a racist because i’m white and i have a black guy in my shop. It depends. If it clearly comes out of nowhere, and it’s not a relevant response to the situation at hand then I’ll point that out.

But I think if someone interprets your actions as racist, immediately going “No I’m not!!!” is a defensive knee jerk response. I think sometimes you should swallow that defensiveness and try to learn from the Bruce Bochy Al Manager Of The Year Finalist Shirt and I will buy this situation. Was I unconsciously basing my words or actions on racial biases? Why did the other person feel like my actions were racist? Even if my intentions were good, was I communicating them poorly? If you immediately reject the idea that you have racial biases that could influence your actions, you’ll never be able to unlearn those biases. They’ll still exist whether or not you acknowledge them. This really depends on the situation though. Obviously people are going to sometimes pull the racism card simply to be antagonistic. Sometimes they’ll genuinely feel discriminated against, and you’ll have to judge 1. was there an issue with my actions and 2. should I try to amend this miscommunication. I hope you did, so the police would laugh at you for not understanding the laws. Her “abuse” was verbal. That’s legal, unless she was threatening to end you or something.
