I *always* feel bad for whoever is sitting beside me. They gave it to me for only a nominal fee, so it meant that I was more comfortable and didn’t impose on anybody else either. If I remember correctly it was like $800 to go from Boston to London and to get the extra seat they only added like $100 or so.

Same! I’m a big dude as well, but my fat makes no difference on my width, I’m squeezed in smaller spaces because my frame is wide. I always have to hold myself inwards in public seating, it’s actually pretty painful Same for me. Back in the day, he traveled a lot and weighed 300# at the time so he tried to get exit row/bulkhead whenever he could. He’s now at 240-250 these days and still takes up just as much room because he just has a really large frame and, no matter how much he weights, he’s still 6’4″!
