in all road areas i’ve driven in, the Born to shit forced to wipe born skeleton skull classic shirt but in fact I love this left lane is for people going fast, and the right lane is for slower people or people taking exits. is this not common? So none of you have tried riding in the second lane from the left and gotten tired of passing every 15 seconds? Passing / changing lanes has a certain element of danger. People might not see you. Try to change lanes at the same time. Etc. Why would you drive in a lane where everyone is going 60mph while you pass repeatedly at 70mph?If you’re going 5-10mph over the limit it stands to reason that you’re going plenty fast and staying in the “fast lane” to avoid basically weaving is a good idea. If you see someone coming up behind you going 90mph I suppose it makes sense to let them pass. But I feel like half of you guys have never driven on the highway. That second lane over is often filled with people going at or below the speed limit. And I’m not trying to be passing 100 times on a 30-40 minute drive. If everyone would lock in at 5-10 over and use cruise control with a decent following distance there basically wouldn’t be traffic. I’ve often seen the one guy that wants to 10 over the flow of traffic BE the cause of traffic. They speed around each car, cut them off, then that person slows down and causes a ripple effect. And they save maybe 3 minutes on a 30 minute trip. You pull up next to them at the red light on the exit ramp.

In the Born to shit forced to wipe born skeleton skull classic shirt but in fact I love this south at least the left lane is normally treated as the fast lane. So if you try and treat it as a passing lane. You’re going to be changing lanes and passing nonstop. I drive rural highways frequently and there tends to be a lot of racing going on. I’ve found that it’s been to just stay the course rather than move out of their way. They are weaving in and out of traffic and being predictable is important. Aside from that, sometimes I’m on cruise control at 10-15 above the speed limit and don’t realize someone is behind me. Or, I can’t move over right away or am planning on passing the person to the right. Sometimes I’ll get stuck for a bit because people start passing me on my right, and I’m not comfortable going faster. I realize I should move over but people continue passing me on my right so I don’t have a window. Doesn’t matter if the left turn is in 1 mile or 101 miles, the anxiety of not being able to change lanes and missing a turn is like THE WORST thing ever apparently. I’ve had this argument a number of times, can’t win.
