White Americans do not have a unified culture. We are all over a huge landmass. We have culture for sure though. I am just curious because even tho ‘America has no culture’ is associated with white ppl only, there aren’t many of them colors left. Do you mean Turkish, Italian, Irish, European, Arabs, Pakistanis, Spanish, Irani… – Americans?

There are so many types of White Americans, do you mean in general terms? I don’t think we can group all White Americans and judge them as one. Does that also include light-complected people or only people from certain haplogroups? I may be wrong, but I think a large part of it is because America is so massive and White is so ambiguous. Imagine asking if white people who are English, Scots, or Irish what their unified culture is. There are some similarities, but it’s still very much distinct. As such, white people in Pittsburgh are going to be different than the ones in Boston, where Pittsburgh has a lot of Polish descendants and Boston has a lot of Irish ancestry. Many black Americans have at least one major thing in common, and that’s slavery. An obscene amount of humans were bought and sold, and many tried to kill their culture, so they forged new ones. Native Americans are somewhat similar, in that they too were forcibly moved and their culture persecuted, though a significant amount of people with American Indian ancestry are still able to trace their roots to specific tribes.

Thus, there’s not really a “White American” culture (beyond colonizing and enforcing/benefitting from slavery) as much as there’s just American culture, and even that can feel highly dependent on the Blackpink shirt Apart from…,I will love this region of America you reside in. You have to be an extremist, no middle ground Because I live in California so I can’t really identify things in my culture that I would identify with due to being white that someone of a different race in cali wouldnt I think people do acknowledge distinct cultures within America as having a culture, like as in Cajun people, the Amish, Italian Americans, Jews in America, etc. It is the suburban WASP culture that is seen as ” not having an identity, no culture.” There is nothing that unifies all of “white people” collectively and culturally, except when they feel the need to band together for reasons of hate and intolerance.

Don’t ask why being black is real and white isn’t. If I know this (Texas public school) then you do too or you’re willfully ignorant. I can provide resources if need be.

For instance, Indonesians love the malls, wear jeans, tshirts and sneakers, etc., primarily watch hollywood movies, watch American TV series, listen to American music, etc. If you ask a White person to describe White culture, he or she will either start describing things that are European or just American. i mean a lot are only a 2-3 generations in and forget everything from the culture they came form. I don’t blame them because most aren’t in similar communities that also celebrate it. And most just do like generic holidays like Christmas or thanksgiving or st patricks day where they just want an excuse to get drunk. As a “white” American I’m not sure what my “culture is. Basically I’m ,l Celtic, American Indian, Germanic (British). Italian and of course 5th generation Texan, Yee Haw. I think Americans are still developing a culture. We are a racial, nationality blended people who share different traditions that have yet to coalesce into a definable “culture”. IMHO
