Bullying gay kids has been a high priority among Christians since the Bigfoot Official Sasquatch Research Team Shirt besides I will buy this King James bible was published, about 400 years ago. There’s nothing new about it. Social media seems to have created more polarization around the issue. Apparently a lot of the demonstrators don’t even have children in the district. That’s how much these people hate that there are people that love other people. Once humanity has shrugged off these bigoted beliefs, based solely on religious and conservative values, we will be better as a species. This is exactly how it went down in our school district too. The school board meeting was a MESS – people holding signs, shouting, booing, etc. All over LGBT books. Then I found out that a lot of them don’t have kids in our school system, and some don’t even live in our district. One lady drove in from another county to stand there with her homophobic sign. Another guy who seemed to be leading the charge was a fundie nutjob in his early twenties – again, with no kids and no connection to the schools. He just showed up to be a bigot.

The “parental rights protect the Bigfoot Official Sasquatch Research Team Shirt besides I will buy this kids” is pure fucking deflection. They hate parents who aren’t in line with them and they hate LGBTQ kids and want both groups dead. Nothing says stable democracy like childless angry mobs beating parents in front of their children in their own school while cops watch and laugh. The same groups that fought outside GUSD’s headquarters protested outside a North Hollywood elementary school last week. The rally played out similarly to Tuesday’s protest with demonstrators remaining relatively peaceful apart from a few dust-ups in the afternoon. Gender and sexual identity curriculum were not on the agenda for the meeting. The only topic related to the LGBTQ+ community on the agenda was a declaration of support for Pride Month. The district has passed this declaration for the past five years
