When you “focus”, you can do so by using intent instead of thoughts. It took me a while to learn this, but you can navigate your body and mind by feeling, which is guided by intent. This works for me though and I’m sure there are other techniques Meditation is a personal experience, and what you want from it is different. People find their own ways of focusing and finding the Best real Women Love Baseball Smart Women Love The New York Yankees Players 2023 Shirt moreover I love this present. Agree I think it’s more about just being detached from your thoughts not letting them have an emotional affect that makes us react to them or compel us to action in some way, both physical and emotional action, just to observe and be at peace with ourselves. Trouble is in doing this we find places we are not at peace with ourselves, and it causes reaction and that’s when we work through them and setting ourselves free from them. Not necessarily even in a meditative state even going about our day the last piece of the puzzle might slot into place and give us peace, like when we are doing something that relates to the thought, and being in the act of doing it allows us to see it for what it really is!

I’ve been meditating for 5 years now and this is the Best real Women Love Baseball Smart Women Love The New York Yankees Players 2023 Shirt moreover I love this best description I’ve ever heard especially when trying to explain it to a newbie. You’re not trying to erase thoughts most of us probably have the issues we have because for so long we were trying to erase or push down whatever we were thinking. Meditation is a place where you can be aware in a controlled focused environment a safe environment to deal with scary or overwhelming thoughts or feelings. Thank you thank you thank you. Thanks! Many seasoned meditators on this thread have maybe forgotten what it was like in the very beginning of their journey. Meditation requires no effort, if it does you are not doing it right. Meditation is not an addition to your life. It is an inactivity. It’s mere observation of your actions, thoughts, emotions, sensations etc. Just as seeing, hearing and sensations you feel does not require any effort, observation of your life also requires no effort. What you should understand if that you are always aware. The amount of attention you have at any moment is constant. If you realize that your attention is waning, it’s not because attention itself is reduced but is directed to other things, like thoughts or emotions which are far more seductive than breath. If you don’t focus on your thoughts then all your attention is available for breath, but this seldom happens. We all have thoughts and they leak some of our attention. The whole goal is to be able to direct your whole attention to the present moment, but this happens only with time and practice. Everytime your attention wavers from your breath, and you’re conscious of it, bring it back. Slowly your thoughts will not take as much attention as it did. None of this requires effort. Observe where the attention is right now and slowly bring it back to your breath. In the beginning thoughts will take up much of your attention, and that doesn’t mean you have to take effort to keep it focused on the breath. No. Just patiently redirect it, and do this again and again. It’s like a mental muscle. The more you do it, it becomes more easier to place attention on the breath.
