Gravity and a bit of poking goes a long way. Concrete is the finished product, cement is one ingredient of it. Interesting. I wonder if applying a partial vacuum to the concrete could resolve the air void problem. I know it’s common in epoxy/resin pours to draw a vacuum so any dissolved air comes out of solution and migrates to the surface. The same thing might work here as long as you dont draw a vacuum below the boiling point of the water used to activate the mixture. If any air remains, it gets compressed into much smaller voids once returned to atmospheric pressure. And, they basically have a free source of vacuum right outside the station… The problem I see is that epoxy mixers have the advantage of gravity forcing the material down and the air escapes towards the pump. I imagine it would just cause the mixture to expand on the ISS.
