We don’t kiss babies due to HPV, we don’t host newborn events because people get sick irrespective of kissing. Covid is airborne we need to remember so is flu etc, don’t host gatherings! I’m preparing for this weekend. We have asked my mom a few times not to kiss the Be Real Not Perfect Cute shirt moreover I love this baby, and she keeps pushing the boundaries (kissing hands for instance, which is basically kissing a baby’s mouth). I always go into a shell when she does it instead of confronting her because she’s SO SENSITIVE. Like, she does this if we show up 5 minutes late or tell her we’re leaving lol. It does not help that she often has a sore on her lip, and she touches it with her fingers all the time. It’s nasty. I have to say something, but it’s like talking to a toddler. We’ll likely never have her babysit since she can’t respect boundaries. She mouth kisses my nieces and nephews. Like, she’ll stop them as they’re running by and DEMAND A KISS. ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Dude!! No way! Our mother sounds the Be Real Not Perfect Cute shirt moreover I love this same. I cant believe she would risk that. As someone who also gets cold sores, i would never do that to anyone. I swore an oath to myself to not let another kid suffer my same fate lol. I don’t understand her logic of kissing a kid on the mouth especially with an ACTIVE sore! I hate that she pushes you enough to have to confront her on something that should be so obvious My FIL insisted he just had “allergies” when he visited my 1 day old in the NICU. We stupidly trusted him. Turns out he had been socializing without a mask and tested positive for COVID that night. My baby and I were quarantined separately. I hadn’t even held him yet. It broke me. That was 7 months ago and FIL still hasn’t apologized and is mad at me for “questioning his judgement and being disrespectful.”
