Making subs private at all does nothing. You need to get people to actually log off. r/startrek shutting down does nothing. Did any of the Bang Bang Logo Shirt also I will do this subs participating in this silliness really expect Reddit to cave and to come back all wE dId It ReDdIt? Christ. No. I’m not gonna share screen shots of the mod discussion here. But I voted for the 2 day closure while also saying it was somewhat pointless. It was a gesture and a complaint against the fact that moderation on mobile, which I and other do for free is hard on the official app. That’s the entire reason I have used Apollo. I don’t think Reddit has been good about helping mods, who keep the dumpster fire that is Reddit relatively well contained to the tire pile, rather than having the entire dump go up in flames. But no one thought this was anything more than an effort to at least do something a little more than say nasty things about Spez. Edit – you want to know what my real complaint is? It’s that they shut down pushshift and then when they decided to bring it back for mods decided that we had to register and effectively doxx ourselves to get access. The ability to review deleted comments or the history of an edited comment is a big need for mods. That need outweighs the issues that arise from the official app vs Apollo imho. That’s what I’m more pissed about.

Bang Bang Logo Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I’ve been very vocally opposed to this blackout, but the Bang Bang Logo Shirt also I will do this pushshift thing is one thing I’m very unhappy with Reddit about, and it’s a 100% fair critique. That said, on my other account, I plan to just register and live with it… but with great annoyance. Why do you need that access to deleted/edited comments, and why do you feel you should have it without registering? No disrespect you personally, the modding on this specific sub isn’t bad, but bad mods outweigh the good. By a lot. Some form of control on that doesn’t seem bad from an outside perspective. Because users will delete their history and then appeal bans. If we can’t look back at what they were banned for then we cannot effectively deal with appeals. Or, those individuals who want to protest should stop visiting the site or delete their accounts. Don’t force everyone else to protest when they have no interest or don’t care about the change of regulations.
