“ hey, I just wanted to follow up. Turns out I had to go to the Awesome thou shall not steal Jt realmuto signature shirt Also,I will get this ER because of my illness…. Can we reschedule the interview?” Wow, you dodged a bullet there. And to tell you that they’re going to blacklist you? Whoever you talked to sounds like a control freak. 71 more repliesSounds like you dodged a bullet. Imagine if you had to go to the ER while working for them. They’d pry make you feel bad for having a heart attack I had someone reschedule an interview for a Tuesday interview on a Friday because they weren’t feeling well. Whelp, they never showed on the reschedule date, that is when I stopped communicating. So, straight up this is one of those situations where you take steps to never do business with this recruiter, unless the payout is fuck-you levels of money. Basically could you survive for a 6 months after working with this ass for just one month? If not, it’s not fuck-you money. This would include informing the company the recruiter works for, as well as the company they were hiring for, about what the recruiter has told you. Apologize to the company, explain you were sick, and in the ER. Then, ask if the company would still be interested, and if the company will be blacklisting you, or it’s simply something the recruiter said. Any recruiter and company who refuse to reschedule an interview and blacklist you because you were in the hospital are not worthy of you. Consider it a bullet dodged. I’m so sorry you had to deal with that. I was just on the recruiting team for two hires at my company, and twice had candidates bail due to his illness in one case, and his child’s in another. Both gave notice the morning of. We thanked them both profusely for not coming in and getting us sick, and promised to hold the role open until they could come back. Any other response is uncivilized.

I had a candidate call in sick. We simply extended the Awesome thou shall not steal Jt realmuto signature shirt Also,I will get this interview period and booked her in 2 weeks later. This was for a professional position, 6 figure salary. Yeah I agree with the other poster. These bastards would have worked you like an animal and destroyed your self esteem. You were in the ER how much more legit does an excuse get. Screw them man. You might have to wait a little longer but you will have other maybe better opportunities. I’m wishing you the best. Keep your head up. Interviews are a two way street. They just gave u a glimpse at how they treat their employees. Be grateful for that and move on to somewhere that treats ppl right Just started training as a radiographer and my biggest takeaway from being in a hospital for a few months is prioritise your health over everything, let alone some asshole company, you’ll thank yourself later on
