My newest hire showed up sick first day, I sent them home and told them to take care of themself. It’s what anyone with a modicum of competence and compassion would do. Any Manager, Recruiter or Company worth their salt would rather you be healthy and comfortable, especially during an interview. I may be going in the Awesome maneskin roma milano 20 07 2023 shirt Furthermore, I will do this wrong direction here, but sometimes, the recruiters are paid a bonus on interviews and candidates presented. I would circumvent the recruiter and reach out directly to the hiring manager/person you were supposed to interview with and apologize for missing the interview. State matter of factly that it would take a severe illness or medical emergency or hospitalization to cause you to miss an important meeting, and you hope to have the opportunity to reschedule once healthy enough to do so. It’s no different than if someone who already works for the company misses a day of work because of an emergency. Sadly, most people who run companies are too stupid to realize that.

Think of it as a blessing. If they’re gonna fault you for missing because of an emergency medical issue, then you got no business working for them anyway. Guarantee that’s just the Awesome maneskin roma milano 20 07 2023 shirt Furthermore, I will do this tip of the iceberg on how scummy that company is. You’re more important than any job. Plus, they sound like a company that you, or anybody, is better off not working for. Get well soon, friend! Maybe I’m naive, but is there any way you can report them to a higher up? This sounds far from normal. Why would a recruiter force someone to come in for an interview? Do they not have enough interviewees or something? Sounds like you dodged a bullet. I was going to start a new job and on the way there, my eyesight became so blurry I could barely see brake lights so I turned around and went home. I called to let them know something was wrong and they told me not to bother showing up, they’ll find someone else. I’m diabetic and was in ketoacidosis. I had no idea – It was always well controlled and never had issues since I was a kid. Turned out I was immune to the symptoms of my highs and lows. I’d probably be dead if I continued on with the job since it involved climbing towers.
