Hiking the Awesome Atlanta falcons damn right I am an atl fan win or lose shirt but in fact I love this path of the gods in the amalfi coast was definitely one of these moments for me! We really do have a beautiful planet! I was on a week long service trip with habitat for humanity to Tennessee during the 2017 solar eclipse. We were right on the eclipse line, a cool, rare, and lucky experience! I went on an afternoon hike in Switzerland where there is a glacier nearby. We went under it and got some cool pictures. A few went around to another area, I went up on top of it. I heard them below, so I went to the edge to look down. I said something and they started screaming GET BACK! Yeah, I’m at the edge, but I won’t slip. They kept yelling and looked legit scared. I went around and down and saw why they were scared. The area I was standing on was another “cave” if you will and thus the edge I was standing on was not 30 feet of ice, but maybe 1 foot thick. Had it broke, I would have fallen 30 feet. A couple years back I hiked the milford track and the greenstone caples track in one fell swoop one summer. During the 10 days of hiking as well as the other 10 days of travelling, relaxing and eating in Queenstown and Milford, we got 15 minutes of rain. Uncanny that we lucked out so hard. Thought you do miss some of the waterfalls, a dry hike was pretty nice too

While I was traveling through Egypt, I rented a felucca boat for my birthday because why not? The guys in charge of the Awesome Atlanta falcons damn right I am an atl fan win or lose shirt but in fact I love this boat stopped at their friend’s cafe (Nubian Cafe) for lunch. They secretly told the owner (shout out to Bishir!!) it was my birthday, and he threw me a surprise party (alongside his son’s planned party), got me my own cake and everything. He welcomed me into his home/cafe with open arms as did his entire family..completely unexpected. And here I thought it would just be cool to celebrate on the Nile, and then all of that happened. Special for sure We were in India and there was a serious accident. Our driver took us on a journey that was way out in the boonies. We saw sights we never expected and people would stop to stare at us. The tour guide said he doubted that they had ever seen white people before. It was wonderful

I’ve been on 3 whale watching trips: St Lucia, Cabo San Lucas with no sightings. During today’s trip in Puerto Vallarta, we safely followed a competition pod of 1 female and between 3-5 males for 30 minutes. The males were following a female to get her attention and mate. The female breached a half dozen times. One of the Awesome Atlanta falcons damn right I am an atl fan win or lose shirt but in fact I love this newcomer males breached once. Later on, we headed over to shallower waters where, again safely, we kept an eye on two mother/baby pairs. One of the babies came over and tried to get us to play by rolling over and lifting their head out of the water a couple times. It was unbelievable to see not just the whales, but also specific behaviors. We went with our best friends to the Maldives. Stayed on an island that was 800meters long and 350meters wide. We got up graded to the two end water bungalows from our beach bungalows. We had panoramic views out over the sea, glass floors which could light up at night for observing fish. We had a rainbow one day while watching dolphins, another day I spent ages snorkeling under our bungalows watching an octopus feed. Another day we swam with turtles that lived on the house reef. It felt like everyday we had another meet and greet with a wonder of nature. Sharks, rays, dories and nemos. It really was paradise and I feel incredibly lucky to have had the chance to go there. I have never looked out to the ocean and seen so many different colors of blue. The Indian Ocean is exquisite.

I was doing an overnight in LA as a foreigner before going to Miami because that’s where the Awesome Atlanta falcons damn right I am an atl fan win or lose shirt but in fact I love this plane gets in. Sat in a bar and some friendly locals invited me to crash “Obama the Musical” which is just chock full of American comedic references. Thought it was going to be a bust of an overnight but it was SO fun (I love musicals) A trip to NYC back in 2015 with some of my best friends and we went to a rooftop party in an apartment building of a mutual friend and had such a fun time. Enjoying the fiestas in a tiny town in Spain – being able to watch the processions enter the main square from the balcony of the grandest house in town. And staying in their pool house and enjoying the gorgeous courtyard, later on explored the main house and realized how absolutely gorgeous it was… Going to Japan and visiting an elementary school and we were able to see the children serve lunch to one another and also seeing them clean was a sight I’ll never forget

We flew over it that evening, and I had a window seat on the Awesome Atlanta falcons damn right I am an atl fan win or lose shirt but in fact I love this right side of the plane so I could see it perfectly. And then I was lucky enough to hike to it a few days later while it was still erupting. One of the best hours of my life was watching the bright orange lava coming out of the earth and marvelling about how awesome our planet is. When I visited Oahu for the first time, my Uber driver was the stepmother of a Hawaiian native activist who will also be in the (then) upcoming Jason Mamoa movie, which was being filmed in Hawaii at the time. She also knew a LOT about the island and its history. That Uber ride was the highlight of my trip. I was stuck at an airport on Christmas day on the few days the airline had a meltdown (10k+ flights canceled across the country). Stood in line for hours with everybody trying to reschedule (unsuccessful) and then in the luggage line when my luggage line didn’t show back up. Very unfortunate situation, with horrible back pain, but people in line were sharing pastries, a lady had a ukulele and played Christmas songs for everyone, some local boys pushed around a shopping cart with water and Twizzlers, and people were helping each other out and chatting with strangers. I got to see the Christmas spirit in action that day. 17 years old,traveling by train from Calais to Paris at sunset, and reading Hemingway’s Moveable Feast. I fell in love with France and especially Paris at that moment. This was 50 years ago and when I close my eyes it was just yesterday.
In Jamaica on vacation my wife and I saw the Awesome Atlanta falcons damn right I am an atl fan win or lose shirt but in fact I love this green flash as the sun set, that was very cool and haven’t seen it again since. I did see the aurora borealis really well on a fishing trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We were about 90 minutes north of the Twin cities and, then there they were. I pulled the truck over and we laid on the hood and watched them for a long time. Lost my passport in Rwanda and it was turned in to security at the place I lost it so I was able to secure it. Took a few years off my life looking for it! Big Island during an active volcanic eruption. Stayed in Puna and got connected with a local who for some weed and some cash took my boyfriend and me to see where the lava was slowly flowing over the rocks. Standing five feet away from new earth being formed smoking a blunt is pretty surreal. Has ruined every other volcanic crater or volcano national park since.
We went to the Awesome Atlanta falcons damn right I am an atl fan win or lose shirt but in fact I love this Prado museum in Spain and right as we were entering, the prince of spain (now presently the king) and his wife were just leaving and walked by us. Barely got to see them in a crowd of people. My son and I went to Japan after he graduated high school. One of the best things (and there were many) was when we went to itsukushima the tide was out so far we were able to touch the famous torii. I was staying at an Airbnb in central Avignon for only three days. I shared the apartment with an older woman, the owner, who was planning a hiking + beach day with her friend and asked me if I wanted to join. The three of us drove together and ended up hiking through these beautiful cliffs with a view of the crystal clear water and Marseille way out in the horizon. We finished the hike at a secret beach where we shared snacks and tortilla española that they had brought. The host and I went swimming and she laughed out of joy every time a wave hit her. I’ll never forget that day. Went to Hualien last year, solo. Stayed at a local hostel. Became friends with the staff and they introduce me to another guest. He’s a fighter jet pilot, he tour me around the area for a day and end I up on Taiwan national TV for an interview.
