Sometimes if a chain of more than one comment were removed it would display as just 1 comment. I know for a fact this is how it used to work though, even from my own comments when they would get zero votes and I would log out and see them be hidden. You would see it all the Ausar Thompson American professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons NBA T-Shirt in contrast I will get this time with posts saying they had like 5 comments on them and then you click on it and only 3 would be visible, the way it is now the 2 auto removed comments are also shown with the removed messages on them so they just seem more noticeable Yep, that seems to be it. It happens on the newer desktop layout when you’re logged out, but not in the current layout when you’re logged in. I end up deleting all my comments since they started deleting and removing my comments. The removals were not making any sense to me especially the ones that seemed to be popular and opened up a lot of discussion. Once I hit a certain amount of up votes I killed my profile after deleting everything. Now I participate minimally. They made this shit not as fun as it was. Maybe it’s either removed by mods because users violate the sub’s and site’s rules or the user deletes the comment because of the downvotes or something.

When a comment is removed by a mod or deleted by the Ausar Thompson American professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons NBA T-Shirt in contrast I will get this user themself the message shows it, it either says “removed” or “deleted” (there are two comments below that prove this) A year ago when Reddit (the platform not the mods of a sub) deleted a comment it would say “deleted by Reddit” but I haven’t seen that message in a while now. I bebop around Russian propaganda subs, those folks call for death and violence so often it’s not uncommon to see “Removed By Reddit”. The mods decided that they own reddit after they lost their little boycott a few months ago. This is their way of protesting and feeling like they have any say or power. Reddit owns reddit. Users control reddit. Neither users or reddit have any real use for mods. Mods don’t have a say in what reddit can or will do. Mods are now deleting everything that they don’t like. This comment breaks absolutely no rules for this sub or any rules or policies on reddit, yet a mod is gonna get a hair up their ass, flex their “mighty keyboard warrior powers” and delete it. Best part is, there are sites and apps that archive reddit on a fairly regular basis. So while the mods think they are doing things, they really are not. It may get deleted from the reddit website and reddit app, but it’s not just gone. they never have had, and never will have power to actually remove anything from the internet lmao Whats funny about this is, a lot of mods just left after reddit made the change, because if reddit is gunna screw over volunteers like that why bother?
