The ADF has been incredibly mum about him since the Ariel mermaid shirt in addition I really love this allegations first came out, not helped by the fact many complaints about him by other operators (i.e., that he was a bullying thug and a liability) were swept under the rug after he became the face of the Army. My god, what an embarassing clusterfuck. Imagine if it transpired that Audie Murphy murdered POWs, raped French civilians, and pushed his wife down the stairs – that’s what it’s like to us. If you’ve ever heard the term “court martial”, this is what that’s for. He can be brought in front of a court dedicated to military (i.e. martial) offences. It is laid out in the Defence Force Discipline Act which (unlike most of our laws) extends beyond Australia’s borders to capture all soldiers. to add to this, extra-territorial war crimes are also punishable by normal civilian courts as crimes under the Commonwealth Criminal Code

In a statement, the Ariel mermaid shirt in addition I really love this AFP said it would be alleged he murdered an Afghan man while deployed to Afghanistan with the Australian Defence Force (ADF). I only heard about this case yesterday. I read some of the quotes from his mates in evidence and immediately thought “yeah he’s guilty”. Hoping the authorities investigate properly now. The accusers litterly had a group chat discussing how they made it up. There was overwhelming evidence that he didn’t do it. In trial another soldier admitted to killing the guy he was on trial for murdering. It took interference from the commander in chief of the US military to prevent justice in that case. That’s not something that normally ever happens outside of authoritarian regimes or military dictatorships.
