Until he fights not to scream in pain rolling over in bed at night (SPD) or gets bruises on the American professional basketball player Golden State Warriors draymond green T-Shirt in other words I will buy this outside from the force of baby’s kicks (my son) then we are not pregnant. I am pregnant. My brother’s wife just announced them being pregnant, and she was so happy about it. Everyone knows what this means, no one thinks bro’s going through the same thing as the his wife. But they appreciate one another, and will be going through this together. I personally think that they can call it whatever as long as they’re both happy with it. But if it were me, I’d honestly just say my wife is pregnant and would want her to say that too. If my husband wants to take on “his share” of the postpartum lifetime medical complications I now have in my life due to giving birth, I don’t mind revisiting this debate.

I think if I push a lot of factors aside and think about only the American professional basketball player Golden State Warriors draymond green T-Shirt in other words I will buy this intention behind it, “we’re pregnant” COULD be more of a support thing, rather than, “I’m the man, and, am doing just as much work as my pregnant wife/partner.” If it’s not about comparing, and someone’s saying, “we’re 100% in this together!” by saying “we’re pregnant” could be phrased better, it’s cute. I don’t think everyone’s intentions are the same when they say this, and, not everyone will interpret your intention, it if it’s said in the context I’m describing. So, as a mom myself, I don’t mind when people say this (we didn’t) – I try to give people the benefit of doubt that they’re just excited and trying to be supportive. But, I also agree that “we’re expecting” is more accurate and leaves less room for drama than “we’re pregnant.”
