Yeah I’ve been a server and bartender for the past couple years… It’s not that we try to serve bad food but when the kitchen is backed up and there is that one customer that keeps asking you every 5 minutes where their food is: when that ticket comes up you’re gonna serve it no matter what happens. Saw a server pick a fly off a sauce once because it landed there right after the ticket came up and that customer was being super impatient. Not saying it was right but also multiple people saw and everyone just shrugged or looked away and said nothing. The moral of the story is don’t be impatient. Understand that when a restaurant is busy the staff are just as stressed as you are about the food not coming fast enough (if the wait gets to be too long it’s okay to very politely tell the server that the wait has gotten too long and you’re gonna go somewhere else and reassure them it’s okay and not their fault). Also if you’re not a dick about it taking a long time you will be less likely to be served something gross.

I too would like to know how safe this is.
