The company I work for just announced more days in the all Elite Wrestling The Acclaimed I Heart To Scissor Shirt it is in the first place but office for our hybrid schedule. They also said that if we can’t make it into the office for one of our scheduled in office days it would be considered a PTO day. I don’t know if it is legal, but they are doing it to us too. Only if the company allows you to do that concurrently. They can refuse to let you take it unless there’s some kind of union rule to mandate you get to use it, and they can even take it away if you violate a policy (like not being in the office when required) or even just for not using it fast enough (it’s not required to be paid if it just expires after some amount of time). They can make you take a PTO day instead of your desire to work from home, but if you are expected to still work they need to pay you for those hours They are paying for the hours, they’re just penalizing with a loss of PTO that hadn’t been used and therefore was never legally compensation.

They can’t require that you work while off the all Elite Wrestling The Acclaimed I Heart To Scissor Shirt it is in the first place but clock. PTO is paid time off. You must be paid your wages; not use pto if you are working. Nonexempt employees who are covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act can’t be asked to do work off the clock. For instance, workers can’t be required to do prep work or clean up outside their paid shifts.” Except (absent a specific state law to the contrary) vacation time isn’t considered earned compensation until after it’s paid, so really they’re just penalizing the employee with a loss of vacation time that never truly existed for them. There’s no working off the clock going on. My bet is that the actual policy is (2), but people are either “hearing” option (1), or somebody is trying to communicate (2), but is saying (1) and us clueless about the subtle, but significant, difference.

1. Length is measured from the highest point on the collar down to the bottom hem. 2. Width is measured across the body of the shirt under the armpits, one way. 3. Sleeves are measured from center back to hem.
