Nowv think about this happening every day for years and you have my childhood. I am in my 40s and still struggle with food trauma. I won’t eat Indian food because my friends mom would force feed it to me on multiple occasions. My boyfriend doesn’t understand that and gets upset that I won’t get Indian food with him. Just get it on your own time, I have a weird past with it and can not swallow it now. Yeah, hes weird about food but I am too. Doesnt really matter. I already have a minor eating disorder so I dont exactly look for food, carry snacks, or go out of my way to eat, so I’m not exactly easy to eat with. I’d happily swallow a calorie pill if they existed so we just compromise (usually by me force feeding myself because I will quite literally go all day with out eating and be happy, and I know thats not good). I remember spending the Adley Rutschman Hugs T-Shirt and I will buy this night at my friends house. I must have been about ten. Her dad was very strict and everyone was to finish everything on their plate. I had this huge ass steak. I found out he spanked, when there was food left on the plate. At home, we were often yelled at and threatened, then the food came out at the next meal.

The other extreme would often involve the Adley Rutschman Hugs T-Shirt and I will buy this kids sitting down to eat, taking a few bites, deciding they’re no longer hungry, letting the remainder of a plate of food go to waste, and then half an hour later they’re hungry again – and maybe resorting to packaged snacks that aren’t particularly nutritious. Neither extreme is ideal. But knowing exactly how far is best to go, in encouraging them to keep eating a substantial portion of a “proper” meal, or training eating habits around regular mealtimes rather than continuous grazing, can be tricky. This is the correct answer and said a lot better than I could have. Kids will often refuse food if they’ve been conditioned to expect chips and pop as a reward for that behavior 30 minutes later. Can’t you just put the leftovers in the fridge if they get up, and when they say they’re hungry just bust that bad boy back out and say eat up???
