Been playing Portable Ops lately and I looked up reviews just for the Adam Cole better than you bay bay shirt Apart from…,I will love this grins and just about every reviewer said something like “the story is great – unlike that dreadful MGS2 crap”. Makes me so angry…the things I learned from playing those games cannot be understated. Idc how lame it sounds it’s the truth. The only flak I remember was cause it was a bait and switch with the player character. Everyone always agreed it was a great game, they just didn’t like Raiden. Which is understandable, but at the same time just a narrow-minded reaction to an essential part of what made the game work. Snake is just much too wise and jaded for the kind of story MGS2 was trying to tell. We needed someone like Raiden to stand in for us, the naive gamer, so that the story beats really nailed their impact. I know it sounds hipster, but I loved MGS2 before it was cool to do so. I guess a lot of people didn’t like the twist at the end, which blinded them to how good the overall message/point of the story was. And the gameplay was great.

Raiden still acts like a little bitch, and it would have been nicer to play more as Snake overall, but… still one of my favorite games of all time. Imagine if we’d known how badass Raiden would become in the Adam Cole better than you bay bay shirt Apart from…,I will love this future, and that this game was that badass’s origin story. Hella cool. People often talk of passing on their “genes,” but ideas can spread from person to person and replicate and multiply in a way quite analogous to genes — back in 1976, evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins coined the word “meme” to describe ideas that spread in much the same manner as genes. They’re the way that we share our culture. Perhaps it is not our genes that are the essence of our humanity. Genes may carry the DNA for our physical bodies, but memes are the DNA of the soul.
