Used to love JP’s college lectures about mushrooms and LSD a few years back.. then didn’t like his book and drifted away from his corner of YouTube.. dodged a bullet from everything I’ve heard about him since around the 8 billion people population care about earth vintage sunset T-Shirt it is in the first place but start of the pandemic / a year or so before I think? Around age 21 (26 now) I found myself in a very dark place —> found Peterson’s videos —> read 12 rules —> pulled my life together, transferred colleges, got a better degree, just improved overall. After that process I no longer felt the need to watch his videos/revisit his book. I just don’t NEED his content anymore since I’m not in a dark place. His work never made me feel racist, hateful, prideful, bigoted, etc. it just made me want to be a better person.

QUESTION: what happened? If Peterson’s ideas really are dangerous, am I just lucky that they had a ‘good’ impression on me? Am I wrong in thinking his work is what helped me? How do I make sense of that experience? Please ignore the 8 billion people population care about earth vintage sunset T-Shirt it is in the first place but haters on this sub. Jordan Peterson is not perfect, no one is. But for many people, his suggestions and advice really resonate and lead to positive change. Nothing happened, that’s exactly the reaction anyone who actually listens to his content has. The left had a weird bone to pick with him because he disagrees with some of thier core beliefs, and you’re either a Nazi or part of the herd with them. That’s a bingo. Some people in the left and right don’t like if you challenge core beliefs. He’s a big enough pulpit that he’s seen as a threat. Now Ben Shapiro on the other hand lol.
