Bullshit, nowhere on my Cholula hot sauce which i have right here does it say: “Refrigerate after opening”. Check. Mate. “Refrigerate after opening”. For YEARS I did that. Literally. I was in my kitchen putting away groceries after shopping. My sister was over visiting. She said “What are you doing”? The label says “Refrigerate after opening”. So I did. Without thinking twice. For years. I don’t do that anymore. It won’t go bad outside of the fridge. However it does change the flavour quite a lot after a little while. For this reason I keep them in the fridge. Some sauces should be refrigerated, or they’ll spoil. Vinegar based sauces and really hot sauces can be room temp for a looooong time.
