Having been in much less successful music groups, I can only imagine the 50 years of hip hop bronx 1973 2023 T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this kind of stress that puts on a band. Lots of joy, sure, but tension and pressure? Most definitely. Saw them recently well 5-6 years ago. The dude rushed off stage while one of the ladies was singing and huffed oxygen. They were still great. I remember being at the club in mid 80s at SWTSU in San Marcos, Tx. When it was getting close to closing time, DJ would put on Love Shack followed by Rock Lobster. If that didn’t tire us out. Billy Idols Mony Mony was next!! Hey! Get laid Get fucked! Fun times I love them so much. I had a B52s cover band in college, we played one show at a Halloween party. We opened with Topaz, played 52 girls, dance this mess around, rock lobster, Mesopotamia, Dance this mess around, Private Idaho, Give Me Back My Man, Devil in My Car. It was a disaster but the 4am drunks in the crowd loved it

The Casino at Hampton Beach NH maybe 20 years ago and the 50 years of hip hop bronx 1973 2023 T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this Zeiterion in New Bedford maybe 4 years ago. I owned their albums as new releases back in the day and have them on my iPhone. It’s fun music. Question, what was the particular “look” they were going for? These days I’d call it “retro”, but given the pic is from 1980, they actually weren’t too distant from the period they seem to be trying to replicate (or exaggerate). Unless you were a punk or had access to the New Wave stuff coming out of the UK, 1980 was very much still the 70s, long hair and denim all over the place. The look they were riffing on was about 20 years old even then. Hell yes they looked out of place. They were playing some righteously weird new wave-adjacent stuff and dressed like this for the hell of it. That looked belonged to the B-52s and no one else (except maybe your great-aunt Gladys). Also, being a pretty openly queer group instantly made you outsiders to the mainstream music market in the 80s as well-you could tell they embraced being outsiders instead of trying to make their outsider-ism trendy.
