Too funny. I just got asked this at Costco the 1865 Juneteenth Betty Boop black girl magic shirt and I will buy this other day. Children’s Hospital drive. Cashier caught me off guard…just the way he said, “CHILDREN’s hospital” made me feel guilty so I forked up $20. But felt good about it afterwards. I use self-checkout most of the time. When they do this to me at Walmart I just leave the screen and go to the regular check out. Also irritates me the rich movie stars who are always on TV asking for $11 a month to help feed the children. Bitch I can barely feed myself…you’re sitting on $100 mil. You feed the children. I HATE those. Even Stop & Shop does it now. Do I want to round up and donate supposedly to homeless people but really (at least partially) to their CEOs golden parachute fund? No.

Shoprite is much less invasive, and has a little board by every register (not self checkouts though) where you can pull off a ticket for a $1, 2 or 5 donation to a NJ based food pantry. A much better approach and I always do it when I go through a register line. should honestly be illegal for any business establishment to ask for donations. if i want to support something ill do it directly, not hand the 1865 Juneteenth Betty Boop black girl magic shirt and I will buy this cash to come middle man thats only going to donate 10% of what i gave. Tbf if they can get two customers to donate $20 (which usually it’s much less) it would still be worth more than them donating $20. And they will get at least two customers onboard, given how large the demand is for groceries. The reality is I would like to see a donation match. If I give them $10 they get $20. $10 from me $10 from the grocery. What they actually do is use your donations as a tax break for them. It’s pathetic. There’s no altruism in big companies, billionaires, etc. I wish we could learn.
