A few weeks ago, my manager asked me about my workload and mentioned she was talking to HR. I immediately asked why HR would be involved in that and if I should be concerned. She said not to worry and I told her that I felt like my workload was justified, she did not refute that opinion. Only a week or two later did she come back to me and tell me that she felt like I could handle more work. I said “great here are six more campaign ideas that I’ll be able to add on to my work load between now and the You can burn our book but the spells are etched in our bones halloween shirt moreover I love this next quarter”. I feel like I came to the table with what was being asked of me. And then the next thing I hear is that I’m on a performance plan. One of the complaints was that I’m not reporting on my campaigns in the way that they’re expecting me to. I asked them for specific examples of what kind of reports they’re looking for and they told me it’s up to me to figure that out.

I drilled them a few more times with HR in front of them and asked them for specific examples of the You can burn our book but the spells are etched in our bones halloween shirt moreover I love this things that they were looking for so that I could be walked through how to do it and then replicate that in the future (so that there’s no confusion about meeting the expectations). It’s been very frustrating feeling like I’m being told I’m not doing enough when I’m responding immediately to those criticisms with not only glowing reviews from my quarterly review and my teammates, but coming up with more workload and presenting reporting on the campaigns that I’m running. The issue is apparently that the reports that I’m pulling are not the ones they want to see. I also got criticized for typos which was a copy paste job from my manager that she then decided to use against me. I found the same typo in some emails I was looking through today that my manager created so I got a little laugh out of that… I would recommend looking for a new job ASAP. Dont let them fire you for poor performance. That looks so bad—a good hiring HR team will find out.
