There is never justice for innocent people who are murdered, just accountability. Aside from George Floyd and possibly some LEOs of colors in high profile cases, cops are rarely if ever held accountable for their actions. Especially not white cops who kill black people. It’s fine if you give small or metered doses. They injected him with 500 mg. A large, but metered dose for his body weight would’ve been 320 mg. The cop actually got off by arguing that if it was a ketamine overdose then it was the fault of the paramedics not him because they were the ones administering it and they were the ones trained to know the proper dosage. I’ve seen a lot of comments swirling online saying things along the lines of them giving him enough ketamine to ‘kill an elephant’ but your post (320 mg vs 500 mg) seems to indicate that they gave him a dosage that would have been normal if he weighed as much as the average man in the US (Elijah was about 140 the average man is about 200).

He should have never been stopped as he violated no laws, nor was suspected of committing a crime – he just looked “suspicious”. I can’t understand why this is not being emphasized more. My understanding is that this young man was on the YOU CALL THAT SCARY Shirt in other words I will buy this spectrum, was walking down the street minding his own business but talking softly to himself, also was wearing a heavier than usual jacket for the weather (he had some medical issue that made him feel chilly a lot), and some busybody called police about “someone acting suspicious.” When the police arrived they gave him several rapid-fire and contradictory orders, which confused the young man and made him freeze up and just stand there. And THAT was their rationale for labeling him as having “excited delirium” and being a danger to others, and requiring a dose of ketamine.
