I don’t think real radical change is coming, or on any ticket sadly. Labour are so anxious to win that they’ve pulled themselves pretty close to modern Conservative positions, and ended up more or less where Tories had been standing pre-Brexit. So it feels more like a vote between a more Cameron-ish Conservative government and the Witdashifts Shifty Shirt also I will do this modern shameless asset-stripping country-plundering Conservatives. I’ll vote for the former, but I won’t hold out any hope that this means we’ll be due any real radical changes – just maybe some small rollbacks here and there. The NHS will continue its slow slide towards failure and privatisation, no doubt. I don’t agree, I think there will be some big changes once they are in government… they are toeing the line at the moment. I need to have this hope to be honest as if things carry on then we’re absolutely screwed.

Witdashifts Shifty Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

It’s just that for once we have a Labour Party willing to use the Witdashifts Shifty Shirt also I will do this Tories own strategy of “get elected then do what you think is necessary” that has been the reason Labour have been out of power and irrelevant for a generation (and the same reason as in the entire 1980s too). Anyone who thinks there’s going to be no change just wants there to be no change they don’t 100% agree with. The next government won’t be perfect, but it will save lives and get kids seeing doctors and through schools. There will be change because there has to be, the alternative is catastrophic, that’s the way it’s heading at the moment. Starmer knows it. The NhS won’t ever be fully privatised, but it needs a new dynamic approach.
