Where is the Wine lover wine glass thankgiving funny wine shirt in contrast I will get this GOP Conservative outrage?? Oh right, he’s white so he’s learned his lesson. Legal system is far from broken, it is dysfunctional, corrupt and racist!! It’s Tennessee, a gop territory. Dad allow it because he thinks 5 years waiting and being the daughter to court would have damage her daughter. You mean the justice system is disgusting. They have to bring the victim again to tell what happens even if they have recordings, DNA, and the asshole admitted to raping. Because he is both white and a former cop, he can get a fast and speedy trial. What about the rest of the people tangle in the court system? Blacks? Oh right they can wait indefinitely as they are guilty anyway right? I know this is meant to be an anti-cop thing, and I get that, im no “blue lives” kinda guy, at all. But the sad reality is that this happens all over the place, in different walks of life. The entire justice system is just fucked. I wonder how many teens with weed that pedophile trash person has arrested, that got longer sentences. And they want our respect and admiration? I would be livid and embarrassed if I were a cop. As a defense attorney I take issue with the phrasing here. It is still innocent until proven guilty no matter how serious the charge. And I may get down voted to hell, but if the guy pled guilty to a lesser offense it’s probably because the government couldnt prove their case. Not because they’re cutting him some slack. if they’re cutting them slack they were just drop the whole thing. If only I can use larval tears to respec then change my appearance to be just like this guy to do crimes and get away with it. I need to go outside and touch grace.

I wish stories like this would specify if this was consensual or not. And I know, “a 14 year old can’t give consent”, but that’s overly reductive. There is most definitely a difference in a violent, forced rape and a consensual sexual relationship. I understand but I feel like that’s besides the Wine lover wine glass thankgiving funny wine shirt in contrast I will get this point no? This grown ass man should not be having sex with a 14 year old regardless if it’s “consensual”. That’s a child. People are super quick to jump to the conclusion that the prosecutor soft-balled him because he’s an ex-cop but in truth we’ll never know if that’s the true case or if the prosecutor looked at the evidence and didn’t see a conviction would it go to trial. Maybe if it goes to trial he’s totally acquitted. We’ll never know. The problem is police are never held accountable for crimes even as horrific as rape. We shouldn’t have a system where we will never know. We know what this ex cop did. He belongs in prison but our system is set up so that he didn’t have to worry about that after doing what he did.
