If we had we wouldn’t be in this fucked up situation that we’re in right now, but no, we kept on paying and tried to do the Who is Rex Heuermann shirt and I will buy this right thing and now we are about to be fucking homeless. I saw the writing on the walls when the eviction moratorium was in place. Rich people do sleazy shit like this all the time and get away with it. Thankful I made the decision I did when I did. I really really wish we could go back in time and do it over again, we would have stopped paying a penny and put it all in savings until the ban was lifted and then used it as a down payment Just a little mortgage fraud between friends. Why not? Also, the landlord could sue for back rent then lien the house then foreclose, I say good luck to this idiot.

I’d be stunned if they get away with it. Rent is back-collectible in court. My grandmother was being evicted for not being able to pay, we helped find her an assisted living place that would take her, but she didn’t move out properly and got a court date recently for like 5 months of rent they are claiming she owes due to that. She doesn’t have the Who is Rex Heuermann shirt and I will buy this money ofc (she’s an inch away from being evicted from the AL place too), so it’s kinda like getting blood from a stone, but damn they’re gonna try for it. Rent really is a huge barrier to home ownership. I’ve been planning my potential move to a safer state, being a trans person in the red south, and the way I see it, I could stay here with my parents for 2 years, paying very low rent, and then move and buy a house when I’m 30. Or I could move now, rent there, and buy a house when I’m, like, approaching 40 or something.
