I basically only buy shoes from pandabuy, because for clothes i want good fitment and quality materials, also as a bonus i can try the Whiskey Myers Announce 2024 Tour Shirt moreover I will buy this clothes on. Most of the time it is easier to find US 14 shoes on pandabuy that don’t look like gramps kicks. We are opposite. I only buy clothes from pandabuy. I never bought shoes/sneakers from pandabuy or any leather items. The only thing I still buy in stores are Jeans cause I need to try them on for a proper fit since I don’t like baggy pants. Everything else is reps 100%. I never buy pants from pandabuy (except for sweats) because fitting is so important and not something you can guess from a top down QC pic. I’ve bought some rep pants and jeans. You can get a pretty good fit (especially if it’s a know cut that fits you) based on measurements, and the rest can be adjusted if needed. which is very close to my known good jeans, except for hips which were a bit wide, but can be taken in. Most of the time retail pants need adjustment too for a good fit anyway. At this point I’m mostly buying reps and vintage. I like vintage because items can have a lot more character, and I get to try the clothing on. Fitment is really important to me and rep clothes often fit awkwardly on me. I also like to buy retail Carhartt and obey, since there’re no good quality reps of either brand and the quality is often really good. Absolutely, once you learn which insane markup popular brands have and what you can get in China for less, buying locally get’s less attractive for sure. At least for me, I rarely buy clothes in the mall any more.

It’s not just the Whiskey Myers Announce 2024 Tour Shirt and by the same token and branded stuff, even for unbranded basics you get simply better quality for less money in China. Even with pandabuy, my local malls usually have great discounts, especially in stores like adidas, so I’ll buy a few items here and there I haven’t bought socks and underwear in a real store for years that’s for sure. Most reps I have are shoes, socks, underwear and sunglasses. I don’t like taking the risk of buying tees/shorts/pants etc because I’m scared the fit is bad. So I still buy those kind of stuff in physical stores. About all I buy retail is gym clothing like Gymshark, there is nobody replicating clothes if that quality sadly. Honestly my recent experience with places like Gymshark has really gone down the pan. Everything I bought from them for about half a year might as well have fallen apart, so I have stopped buying it now. Represents 247 range is my go to gym stuff, and I’ve just seen that AYBL has launched a men’s range which I reckon will be pretty good. Tbf I haven’t had to order anything from Gymshark for about a year, all their stuff I have has lasted me years and still looks as new. I don’t like most their new colour ways, probably the only reason I’ve not seen the quality issues you mentioned. I have some old Gymshark clothing from around 2018-19 and the comparison to what it is now sucks. The stringers/tanks are a totally different material than what it used to be. They are a billion-dollar company now so the production definitely has gone up which sacrifices quality. whenever i go in a store or search online for a branded product and see the price,i feel like they spit the customer in the face because i now know better about production costs. i could probably imagine buying some basics from UNIQLO or something if i dont find the same quality,but other than that…no.
